My area of specialty is working with adults struggling with life transitions, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, low self- esteem, lack of motivation, communication skills, boundaries, and stress management. It is easy to forget how to cope when faced with challenging obstacles and circumstances. However, I believe it is in our human nature to be resilient and shift out of challenging times with the right support. My goal is to empower you and provide you with the tools that you can utilize to create the fulfilling and beautiful life that is meant for you.
Life can be overwhelming and challenging at times and it is important to get the support that you need. Some folks seek out therapy because they feel stuck, are lost, adjusting to something new, wanting change, struggling with their past, and so much more. We all need the right kind of support at various times in our life. My approach to counseling is humanistic and person centered. I utilize evidence based techniques that are strongly grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship and join you in exploring your personal goals, shed light on your strengths, gain insight, empower you, and challenge old behaviors and thoughts that might be holding you back. It is so rewarding seeing the change and personal growth for clients when they are open to the process and ready. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, direct, and warm space for everyone.
My background consists of working in diverse professional settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient private practices, and addiction treatment facilities. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. I am committed to ongoing, continued education that will give me the tools to support my client’s growth and development. It takes a lot of courage to reach out and take this next step for yourself. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey.
I look forward to hearing from you and welcome you to email me to set up a free, 20 minute phone consultation to make sure my services are the best fit for you. Please note that e-mail is not a secure method of communication.
